‘The Two of Us’

“Both entertaining and thought-provoking, and truly achieves its aim to make the audience reflect on their own identity, and how the life choices they make, and their heritage, make them who they are.” ★★★★ Theatre Weekly

Join us to think and reflect together about identity and migration with  Malena (designer), Guido (music) and Mariana (performer), the creative team behind the show ‘The Two of Us’ at the Burton Taylor Studio.

About the play: Mariana is a Colombian woman. She’s single, career-driven, and lives in London. Blanca is a Colombian woman. She’s been a wife for 75 years, a mother of nine, a grandmother to 40, and has always been home. Both are passionate about living and loving. But, as Mariana returns home to Colombia, she is abruptly confronted by the expectations of her family, culture, and traditions. By embarking on a fantastical journey through her grandmother Blanca’s life, Mariana discovers how much their paths as Latin American women diverge and cross.
