Join us for a screening and artist Q&A for Colombia’s Broken Peace, an animation exploring the histories of Colombia’s borderland communities through first person narratives.

The animation follows Roger, an AfroColombian activist, and Joanna, a campesina, as they navigate lives impacted by conflict and illicit drug economies. This animation was co-created by Inty Grillos, a grassroots arts collective based in Putumayo and Diana Garcia, an illustrator-animator now based in London. Colombia’s Broken Peace is based on research led by the National University of Colombia, as part of the Drugs & (Dis)order project.
